The question I ask for the hardcore Floyd fans is...

Did Floyd reach his peak against Hatton? Is that the performance people will remember him by?

Granted Floyd made a name for himself way before he hit the Welters, but only to the Boxing public. He didn't reach mainstream status until he fought Oscar. So with having just 1 fight post the Oscar fight (Hatton), you're telling me there was NOBODY else he could fight? With the Welterweight Division being as stacked as it is?

It's common sense that not every fight is going to do 2 Mill buys. Guys like Oscar (who was really the reason both the Oscar & Hatton fights caked off) only come across once a generation. If Floyd was the champ and claims HE'S the draw, then how in the hell can a Cotto or Marg fight NOT do well?

I don't necessarily think he needs to fight Margarito, but if he fought both Pacquiao and Margarito and won... it would seal his legacy once and for all. I don't think Floyd has to fight either one of the fighters though... he has already proved to be an amazing talent by winning 6 world titled in 5 different weight classes while being undefeated... so I don't really think he has anything to prove. If they was to fight it is better off this year, because after the fight with Cotto it would make a lot of money. I don't think Mayweather will fight Margarito though... he seems happily retired, plus if his heart isn't in it anymore I don't see any reason in him carrying on.
