That's how I have it too. As soon as the fight was announced, the first thing that came to mind was Hatton's vulnerability for cuts and bruises, and the fight being stopped on cuts in 10 rounds or less. As mentioned already, even feather-fisted Paulie gave Ricky a bad eye in the first round. I can only imagine his face after Manny connects with much more regularity and more power, and he will connect a lot because Hatton is easy to hit.

Are you saying oscar and Diaz never landed a single punch? They did land a few. There were no signs of Manny being troubled by them. In round 5 of the Oscar fight (with around 30 seconds left on the clock), Hoya was so frustrated he held Manny's head with the right hand and punched him multiple times with the left. Oscar connected 3 times in total. One of the blows wasn't landed flush, but two of them were. They didn't trouble Manny though, he took them well.

Diaz said he could handle the power (some might disagree because he was face down on the canvas in round 9!), but Manny's speed was what he couldn't deal with. Diaz said it's as though Manny has blades in his gloves, so it seems to me that while he may not possess 1-punch KO power, those punches sting like a ***** and there are lots of them coming at you so fast that the accumulation is likely to knock you out anyway.

Razor sharp punches + vulnerability to cuts = Pacquiao TKO.

This fight will be closer than most seem to think.Hatton has owned 140 forever,Hatton is also fast in his own right, the real question is what will Pac-man do when he is pressured by Hatton.A close fight,Pacman by split d.

How will Hatton handle the kind of intelligent pressure that Manny applies? I would think Hatton will come off worse if they go toe to toe. Without wishing to come across as a Hatton hater (I'm far from it), Hatton doesn't apply pressure with intelligence, he often looks like a bumbling fool.

...this is going to be a great fight...both of these guys are HONEST fighters, not boxers...they can dish out the punishment, and take it...the key to this fight is whether Hatton can keep the fight at his distance...pace doesn't matter because both are well conditioned...Pacman was hitting DLH hard but seriously, what stopped him from loading up with DLH?...surely not the old punching bag DLH who just followed him around getting punched...it's up to Hatton, he needs to fight his fight to win...keep it close and Manny on the defense and he'll win...

No. Hatton absolutely cannot handle Pacquiao's speed and fury.

With all the Pac nuthugging going on in this thread it's good to see a little bit of sense.

Forget whether Ricky can handle Pac's speed and/or power. The real question is whether Pac can hold out against the enormous pressure that Hatton will apply to his body.

IMO, it's a pick 'em fight. Very competitive (thank god!)

It will be a good fight. The Pacman is going to be too elusive and quick. He will be the victor that night. JAT

You're saying forget Manny's speed and power? Great! I hope Hatton overlooks it too. I doubt it though. Speed and power is what destroys most of Pac's opponents. It would be ****** to overlook it.

Pac has good training for taking body shots. I'd imagine he will train hard for this.

Hatton has to get close to Pac to apply pressure to the body. That might be difficult when he's getting out-maneuvered and bombarded with punches that feel like he's being cut up with a blade.

                  We'll see though.

Pacman will be furious just like Collazo was in the 12th round, I dont think Hatton can handle a brorodge of punches like that hes gonna get hit too often from outta nowhere too fast, and when Hatton comes in for a hug like he did with Mayweather he'd get countered coming in and get knocked out.
