I think he’s fantastic. And that comes from an Englishman !

Check the special on him from ‘Beyond The Glory’. Great viewing.
Good suggestion. I might add that documentary to the first post.

amazing how loved he is today after being the #1 most hated man in boxing in 2002 and 2003, but I doubt most of our posters even followed boxing back then and realized he turned down fight after fight after fight after fight after fight

no Roy, no Calzaghe, no Toney, no nothing

          I'm goin with B-hop in '09 that's fer sho.

I'm watching the Taylor vs. Hopkins I, that was a good fight. Taylor did look sharp that fight, and Hopkins respected him too much. I think if they were to fight for the 3rd time, Hopkins would whoop on him.

In fact, i think that Hopkins and Taylor should fight a 3rd time. it'd pointless for the rankings i know, but that would be a good way for Hopkins to retire.

I thought the first two fights were very close. A third fight would be a great way to retire but I think Taylor is a bad style match up for Hopkins.

yes they were close if you listen to lampley call the fight "taylor lands a huge right hand!" but the punch sailed over hopkins head.

lol. Lampley's a funny dude. You gotta love him though for the drama he generates. Man the whole HBO commentary team is legendary. Harold Lederman's voice cracks me up. "OK Jim"

Who knows exactly what went on between Dibella and Hopkins? It seems like they were cool until Hopkins beat Trinidad and then Hopkins suddenly dumped him. Maybe B-Hop dumped him because he could get more money without him, but why would he say them things about Dibella after Dibella had just got him the Trinidad fight?

                      Do tell.
