He took a knee, but got up on both occasions. His corner then proceeded to stop the fight after seeing that Cotto was badly hurt. Quitting would've been what Morales did in the Pac fight, or what Oscar did in the Pac fight, or what Kosta did in the Hatton fight, etc....

I know men. Qutting is saying no more. Because if every fighter that his corner threw the towel in, quitted, then this is a fruit Cakes sport!!!!!!!!!

I don't think he landed the better punishing shots. Maybe the prettier flashier ones. You have to remember, when you can fire off combos at that rate of speed, you're taking away some of your power to be that fast. Tony fought at the same pace that he always does. Of course his chin allows him to fight in the manner that he does, but in no way is he just some crude brawler with no skill.

Cotto simply wasn't very effective at what he was trying. Its not like he won every single round and then crumbled at the very end. It was an arduous, calculated process by which he was eliminated. At times it was hard to see the impact of Tonys punches because there were so many landed on the inside rather than from a distance like Miguels.

The fight was going to be stopped regardless of the corner. He wasn't throwing punches back at that point, just backing up into whatever corner he could find. Then he took himself to the ground without taking a punch. Thats a fighter basically saying, "no mas".

Would U Agree that Israel Vazquez is in his Prime?..

and He quit in Marquez-Vazquez I!

It's not about Cotto quitting and Mexicans don't if they're done..THEY'RE DONE!...

and if people are going off that gif that shows Cotto nodding his head..He actually nodded NO! (Sideways) And Evangelista was already raising the towel to get him out of there..

Once again. Take away Marg's chin, do u think he would've been as succesfull based purely on his boxing skills and talent. Remember, having a chin is not something u can learn, nor is it a skill. Some people have it, and some people dont. This is the basis of the thread question.
