    U serious?

What makes you think it's suspect? Dude has one of the best chins in boxing as far as I'm concerned. Been down 4 times, and never stayed down. He got up every time and won. How is that having a suspect chin? It'd be like Prescott knocking Khan down, then Khan getting up to whup his ass.

Jones was KO'd several times. Isn't it more likely he's the one with the dodgy chin? And don't forget Joe had good power before the injuries.

Another "great thread" that will get the usual Joe ballswingers nutriding hard and fast.

He was down twice in the first round. What your thinking of (the coming back and winning part), is more heart than chin.

I also never said anything about Jones' chin being strong....

EDIT: Also Jones was not KO'd "several" times. He was KO'd twice, several implies much more than that.

LOL. Get ready for a lot of posts on how Roy and every US fighter didn't want "none" of Joe.

I laugh when I hear that Roy ducked Joe back when Joe would not leave Europe. Why should he go to Europe and fight him there when if Calzaghe really wanted a piece and thought he could stand with Jones he could've come to the US and made his name like he did AFTER Jones was no longer considered the best fighter in the sport.

WBO = the most legit belt ever in the 90's. Clearly it was on Jones to go to the Welsh Ice Hockey Rink and take a pay cut and cut weight to fight Joe.

                    LOL. Damn, talk about nitpicking!

Several / a few / some. "Several" does not imply much more than twice. ****, maybe I could have worded it better but why would I imply anything? We all know how many times he got knocked out. Dude got knocked senseless by Johnson (not even a seriously big hitter) and Tarver.

Anyway, you know what I was saying.

Jones is the one with the worse chin of the two. If he was up against a guy with a granite chin (or an unstoppable heart, if you prefer that) who throws endless amounts of punches and who had more power back in the day, how the hell do you know that he wouldn't be KO'd by Joe Calzaghe?

See, this ain't even a nuhugger post, I'm just talking sense and trying not to be biased one way or the other. We can all sit here and say "this is what would happen, there's no doubt that Roy would knock Joe out in round 6 / 8 / take your pick", but the fact is nobody ****ing knows! They only go on what they THINK they know and what they WOULD LIKE to happen because they hate Joe Calzaghe. It's really pathetic.

Again, I ask you, if it would be so easy for Jones to KO Calzaghe, why didn't he do it? You can laugh all you want, talk about pay cuts, blah blah. As far as I know there were fights that fell through between Calzaghe and Jones a long time ago when both were prime. This is coming from Frank Warren in the documentary "No Average Joe", because apparently Jones wanted nothing to do with him. Bear in mind, I am not stating that this is an absolute fact, I am going solely on the information coming out of Warren's mouth, on camera, in that documentary. Jones has said nothing about it, just like Hopkins has said nothing about the fight he backed out of in 2002. So what do we have to go on apart from what's been said?

Here's the documentary if you are interested at all.
