Roy....And why are we talking about chins folks? Calzaghe was dropped against the old pop shotting Roy Jones and Old Bernard, both of whom havn't had knockout victories in some time..It took a home run left hook bomb to drop Roy and a Vicious flurry from Glen, both of whom have more power in 2 fingers than Calzaghe has in his whole body..Both are great fighters but just seeing the fact that CAlzaghes ice breaking performances were against 2 past aged greats and he waited so long to leave Europe and state his case, I think Roy will be way above JC in the ATG listings

Sorry I kinda left, had to do some ****, but this is probably my last post regarding this matter.
LOL. Damn, talk about nitpicking!
Several / a few / some. "Several" does not imply much more than twice. ****, maybe I could have worded it better but why would I imply anything? We all know how many times he got knocked out. Dude got knocked senseless by Johnson (not even a seriously big hitter) and Tarver.
Anyway, you know what I was saying.
Jones is the one with the worse chin of the two. If he was up against a guy with a granite chin (or an unstoppable heart, if you prefer that) who throws endless amounts of punches and who had more power back in the day, how the hell do you know that he wouldn't be KO'd by Joe Calzaghe?
See, this ain't even a nuhugger post, I'm just talking sense and trying not to be biased one way or the other. We can all sit here and say "this is what would happen, there's no doubt that Roy would knock Joe out in round 6 / 8 / take your pick", but the fact is nobody ****ing knows! They only go on what they THINK they know and what they WOULD LIKE to happen because they hate Joe Calzaghe. It's really pathetic.
Again, I ask you, if it would be so easy for Jones to KO Calzaghe, why didn't he do it? You can laugh all you want, talk about pay cuts, blah blah. As far as I know there were fights that fell through between Calzaghe and Jones a long time ago when both were prime. This is coming from Frank Warren in the documentary "No Average Joe", because apparently Jones wanted nothing to do with him. Bear in mind, I am not stating that this is an absolute fact, I am going solely on the information coming out of Warren's mouth, on camera, in that documentary. Jones has said nothing about it, just like Hopkins has said nothing about the fight he backed out of in 2002. So what do we have to go on apart from what's been said?
Here's the documentary if you are interested at all.

Also, I could've sworn I said Joe would give Roy more trouble than most other fighters he fought back in his prime. I said KO8 and still mean it, that doesn;t mean it will have come easy or Roy.
Ah here it is:
Originally posted by evilp0ptartRegarding the topic at hand, Joe would give Roy more trouble prime for prime then most of the fighters he fought back then
Originally posted by F•R•K•OAnyway guys, no offense, but **** this. I can't be bothered now, it's too one sided and nuthugger-ish in favor of Jones.
EDIT:
You sir, are a good man.Comment

Roy Joes by light years in both skill and achievements.
Joe had never even been P4P number one. And the way it's looking, he won't ever be. Calzaghe was a very, very good fighter who squandered too many years in Wales, away from the spotlight. He cashed in on his patience later on with wins over big names but the caliber of opponent doesn't hold the same weight as the names themselves.Comment

No one cares. You started watching boxing recently as is obvious by your ****** dumb ****ing posts, and you are not a boxing fan, just a Joe/UK fan.
I would name more Joe "opponents" but I think the list I've put up is laughable enough.Comment
