And when they do step it up they get beaten down (Cotto, Trinidad, Camacho, Collazo, Cintron and so forth). Watch, when PR's next biggest hype job Juanama Lopes steps it up against Marques or Vasques he'll be the next to fall. There are only like 3 places on earth where you can build a rep in boxing and still get respect: United States, Mexico and the United Kingdom. Just something I've noticed. Sorry but true.
This thread starter is an idiot, so subjective. Why so much hate? BTW How you dare to compare Tito with Collazo and Cintron. C'mon everyone knows he fought the best and only lost out of his weight class, no excuses anyway he lost to great fighters.

I cant believe all the BS I just read in this thread. First the thread starter is a idiot!!!!!! Second in the Mex-PR rivalry we are on top, no matter how you sugar coated, but I dont care really, because there have been great fights during the rivary. Third for the ***** Flawless who seems to dont understand. We are Puertorricans period, we are a diverse race, you could see a black, white, indian or even asian Puertorrican, but we cosider us Puertorricans dont matter what. Actually we are a very united country unlike the US, that everybody tries to segregate races. No Offense to the US people, but thats a fact. And fourth instead of worring about any race in particular we should just stick to boxing, because every country have his great champions and they also have bums and overrated fighters, so if the main reeason of the thread was bashing PR fighters only, then the thread starter failed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Cotto is "overrated" for losing once... What is margarito with 5 losses?

Was Chavez Overrated when he lost to Randall? Or Taylor? Cuz we know Richard Steele gets the W in the Taylor fight right?

Was DLH overrated when he lost to Shane TWICE.

Was Erik Morales Overrated when he sat on his ass and said "not thanks" to Pac?

It goes on and on.... too many Mexican heroes went out like suckers.

If we looked at statistics and percentages , PR is 100 x 39 . Now figure out how many times PR fits in USA,South america or Europe; and do the math and see who has produced more champions with less advantages.Another thing you might not understand is that in PR we are desendents of Taino(PR indian), Spain, and africans;and we live in harmony with color my uncles are black my mom is dark skinned my brother is black and im white ,look at Tito trinidad if the firsts words that came out of his mouth were inglish u wouldnt know he was rican so we should look at the athlete and not where there from.

puerto rican fighters are tight. The only one that comes to mind who's a superstar is Miguel Cotto of course and he's hardly overrated.

There are a ton of overrated fighters... and quite a few underrated fighters... I don't know that Puerto Rico has anything to do with it... wish they'd become a state though.
