It doesn't matter a damn who sparred with who, or who got knockout. What matters is that Gomez has been calling out the Klitschko sisters for years and for years they have been avoiding him. There is no excuse, either of them could have fought Gomez if they had wanted to.

The first time I saw Gomez fight was on the same card as Joe Mesi, in the "Night of the Young Heavyweights." Probably about five years. He beat some guy from Turkey, Samil Sam I think his name was. Although Mesi got most of the publicity for knocking out Williamson in about a minute, Gomez did mention he wanted to fight some of the top people, Lewis, Byrd, Ruiz etc. He also mentioned he would face the Klitschkos. These days everybody calling out the Klitschkos. It is the only way to make a decent paycheck. I can see why they are ducking Gomez. He is dangerous and a no name.

Gomez fights just like Chris Byrd but he is easier to hit. I think he would be slick for a few rounds against the brothers but he would get stopped eventually. Gomez needs to fight some bigger names to earn his shot. Who has he beaten to earn this shot? Oh, thats right, nobody has to earn a title shot nowadays...
