Well I'd like to see Larsen prove himself against Bute first. If he prevails there's a big-time unification fight to look forward to.

Bear in mind that Larsen looked good against a mediocre opponent. The danish media definetely forgets that.

It would be the biggest fight in danish boxing history. Parken stadium would likely host a near capacity crowd.

Only once before has 2 danes squared off in a meaningful fight. Jorgen Hansen twice defeated Hans Henrik Palm for the european championship. Those fights were big. This matchup is HUGE!

But Kessler-Larsen is just so much bigger.

But I seriously doubt that we get this fight in already in March.
If Larsen beats Bute I can't see Kessler avoiding this fight in fall 2009.

I forgot that. Anyway that fight didnt ignite the public as much as this or the Hansen-Palm fights did. But the fight was a classic with a vicious kayo as well.

Mogens Palle says that it is possible this fight could happen in march. The two fighters have unfinished business, in 2004 Larsen was set to face Manny Siaca for the WBA World title, but just one week before the fight Mads Larsen hurt his hand and was unable to fight. Instead Mogens Palle gave the fight to Kessler who demolished Siaca in 21 minutes.
Mads Larsen refused to fight for Mogens Palle again, but it took him more than 3 years to get out of his contract.
Now my boy Mads Larsen is back
His next fight will be against either Bute or Kessler.

Both Bute and Kessler would destroy him. So would Bika, Andrade, Froch, and many more.
This 7th round ko of a technically very limited guy, with only 9 wins on his record, is his best performance in 5 years. His best result ever is either a narrow point defeat to Ottke, or beating Haussler on points.

Kessler really isn't endearing himself for foerign markets though is he? I mean we know HBO won't touch him & their fighters avoid him like the plague but there's a human punchbag in Froch that is just gagging to get facefulls of Kessler's leather - why doesn't he take that fight?

If you had read Kessler's open letter from yesterday you would have known that Taylor doesnt want him. None of the 'big six' wants Kessler.
