Your crazy if you think Leonard wouldn't survive. He had every attribute in that ring and could adjust to any style. Robinson is P4P the greatest fighter in any era, but his fighting style isn't exactly as modern as today's styles. And they played by different rules then.

Middleweight is a different story, but I am talking about Welter. I give him a legit chance at a Prime Roy still, because as much as I love Roy, he beat a lot of bums in his prime(not completely his fault). Leonard to me moved up because of his age & weight. Not to mention that lay off.Comment

ww is another story. i can see him beating most of them. him and floyd wouldve been a great match. put as far as p4p goes, its much harder to be at the top of the list now than it was back then. it nothing against the greats of that era, its just that the fighters are of another cloth. they now are more athletic, bgger, stronger, faster, new techniques. srl style is simply out-datedMiddleweight is a different story, but I am talking about Welter. I don't think the style's are much different man, watch Benitez-Leonard or Hearns-Leonard. I also don't think many of the welter's today are as quick as Leonard either, maybe Judah though. Still doesn't make sense that you said Robinson would survive and Leonard wouldn't, if styles and rules truly were different then. I think you should go back and watch fights from the mid to late 70's all the way to late 80's. i simply said you cant dispute rr. im basing that on trhe fact that he fought sooooo many times, and he knocked out most of his opponents. plus back then it was totally different. its simply not right to compare a fighter that fought sooooo long ago when it was more barbaric.I don't think the style's are much different man, watch Benitez-Leonard or Hearns-Leonard. i wouldnt compare joe louis to wlad either, but i would compare ali to the hws today u get me?Comment

So if you would compare Ali to today's fighters or guys like Holyfield or Lewis from the 90's, you would say he has a legit chance correct? He could survive in this era regardless of the competition, right?i simply said you cant dispute rr. im basing that on trhe fact that he fought sooooo many times, and he knocked out most of his opponents. plus back then it was totally different. its simply not right to compare a fighter that fought sooooo long ago when it was more barbaric.

Then how could the excuse of styles changing after the 80's make a difference for Leonard if you said it wouldn't for Ali? Unless your talking about Jones only, who is one of the most un-textbook fighters of all time, style wise.Comment
