this was a worse robbery than Chavez Whitaker. easily. for one thing, Whitaker only got a draw and was able to retain his titles. for another, Chavez had 6 rounds that could have gone either way.

Chavez won one round after the second. That was awful. However, comparing level of badness in a decision is worthless. A decision is right or wrong on its own merits. period. To the fighter it happens to, they're all as bad as the worst of all time.

Geography doesn't matter; scoring Boxing isn't that tough especially in a crappy fight with sporadic action. While, no, this wasn't Spinks-Holmes II (LARRY WON NINE ROUNDS WITH A TWO-POINT 14TH) at the point any judge saw Valuev winning more rounds, something sucks.
My point and agenda in this debacle is and has been since the fight, only to say that the term ROBBERY should be reserved for more controversial decisions than this. Yesterdays fight was CONTROVERSIAL IMO. Not a robbery.

So I guess we have to just disagree.

I watched the fight last night. It wasnt a great fight but holyfield def won the fight. He won at least 10 out of the 12 rounds! I gave valuev 1 round and the other even. The Judges need to be investigated big time. If that fight was in america we would have a new heavyweight champ and the new record oldest ever.

Record for holding a belt; Foreman won the real title and that record belongs to him.

Fair enough; it's not like you're making a case for the guy who should have lost or anything. More a post-modern 'eyes with different sight" thing. I hate po-mo thinking for the most part but understand its applicability.

I watched it without Bernstein's commentary and Holyfield clearly won.

By the way, I am not a kid.

Rubbish. It doesn't matter whether anyone wanted wanted Holyfield to win or not, it's up the judges to remain neutral.

I have no emotional attachment to Evander Holyfield. I have an emotional attachment to boxing and playing the game fairly.

Bat and Tunney, these excuses are poor. I am disappointed in you both. You guys are supporting corruption.

Who wanted Holy to win? Most wanted him not to get hurt and most also recognized it as BS the fight was even made.
