Ive been aware of the drop in quality since 2003.
In boxing history, the younger challenger from the next generation usually beats the older champion from the previous generation.
Gene Tunney beat an older Jack Dempsey
Marciano KO'd an older Joe Louis
Larry Holmes devastated an older Muhammad Ali
Mike Tyson chopped an older Larry Holmes
But Vitali Klitscko was not able to carry on this tradition and was outfoxed by the older, slower, shorter fighter. Vitalis best failed to live up to Lennox's worst and that set the tempo for how the rest of this horrible decade was to play out.Comment

Some posters think that size and modern day fighters can beat all of the fighters from before the 60's, its pretty ridiculous.Comment

Heavyweight boxing is a complete joke. Vitali is the only one who's worth a damn. The rest get murdered in any other era including the Tyson 80'sComment

The heavyweight scene has never been better. Check the records of the current champs! None of your Don King idols really come close to the current champions.
The current heavies are the most exciting fighters I've ever seen!
(Except maybe for Dempsey & Marciano)

There are so many more people from around the globe now competing, so it truly is representative of who is "the best of the best" ON THE PLANET. Why do some of you think that it is better when competition is only limited to whom Don King chooses?
You euro-haters are so fuggin obvious!
It funny as hell to read how you babies make excuses for your mass-marketed idols getting whooped. Don King ain't running the circus anymore girls, and y'all are going to have to realize that this is now a truly global competition.
Keep the laughs rolling!
Carry on euro-haters!Comment
