Does Holyfield show the drop in heavyweight quality?

This is a serious thread, do you feel that Holyfield has shown that there is a serious drop off in the quality of modern heavyweights. I know we have posters that believe they are just as good today but Valuev was considered a top 5 heavyweight and he was embarrassed by a man that hasn't had a good fight since Rahman back in 02, I agree that Wlad and Vitali are solid but outside of them the division has been shockingly lacking in skill. Hopefully the young guys coming up will be better.

the lack of talent at heavyweight is apparent to anyone who pays attention to the sport. i think what was exposed today was valuev as a champion. he doesnt deserve a top 10 ranking let alone a belt.

not really because i think it's common that most agree after the klit's, the division is weak.

hell, apart from Vitali and Wlad the division is non-existant.

This fight didn't prove that point, this division is bad. It's not as bad as MOST people say, but it is bad. It just lacks the one dominating force.

Regardless, all this fight proved was how padded Valuev's record is and will continue to be.

              REMATCH IN AMERICA!

                  ****ty matchmaking.

Throw Haye against Arreola or two people who aren't very good, just going for it, and people will like it.

All we need is guys that want to win and take risks. They don't have to be master technicians either, just tough and willing to go to war.

No. Valuev sucks, but there are plenty of talented heavyweights: Vitali, Wlad, Povetkin, Haye, etc.
