We should make a stand on here. All those who bet on Holy should get the points...

    Obviously yes.

The bookies would of lost more money with a Valuev win.

      Hey life is unfair.

You ever see a casino not pay out ON the official winner?

      Goes with the territory.

You should honor your bets. ALWAYS.

I bet money on a Valuev points win. I feel a bit guilty, but as a bum I have to pay the rent somehow.

It doesn't really mean anything, I know. It'd just be a nice show of solidarity for Holy, IMHO.

I don't really see is as someone breaking a promise or a betting principle. I see it more as the supposed "victors", as in those who beat on Valuev, should do the right thing themselves.

How do you think the people who bet real money feel? Especially considering some places had it at 10/1 odds.

That seems a good sort of compromise.

I agree, nobody who bet on Valuev winning should pay the ones who bet on Holy. I think we should just forget about the bet completely.

I will pay up, I said what I said out of sheer disgust and anger, but damn, I will do it reluctantly! If the decision is ever reversed (which it really should be) I would expect my points back.

I would rather just say forget it though.

But a bet is a bet. When you bet on a fight, you do so at your own risk. And as boxing fans we all know robberies are not entirely uncommon in this beloved sport of ours.

When you make a bet you're betting on who will end up with the "W" in the record book, not who will look the better of the two, or who should've/would've/could've gotten the victory if only.......

I agree. Possible robberies should be considered before betting.
                      They're part of the gamble.
