Taylor hit Pavlik with an elbow, apparently. That's what got Pavlik into trouble and almost knocked out. Whatever, you do what you can in a fight, this ain't no tea party. But still, I don't think Jermain hits hard enough to hurt Calzaghe, even if he upped his work rate X10.

Calzaghe's chin is ****** tough. Jermain wouldn't even make him flinch, and as I always said: if you can't hurt Calzaghe enough to keep him down, you don't win the fight. It's that simple. Nobody has ever out-worked him, nobody has ever beat his stamina, and nobody has adapted to him because he adapts to them first.

No fanboy-ism, this is just how it is. 18 years without losing a fight! Even in amateurs, beating Calzaghe was a HUGE deal, just as it is now.

People might not like him, but damn, if their favorite fighter got a win, we'd never hear the end of it. Calzaghe is THE man to beat. Period.
where do you rank calzaghe in all time great? top 10?

Nah! I have no idea. I'd need to think about that.

im not saying he'd beat calzaghe, just if he plans on standing a chance of winning, that he'd need to up his stamina
cuz i do think he has most of what's needed to beat joe cept the stamina(stamina would mean he could be more active)

Is he the British equivalent of ree****yaluss?.

I dunno bro. It's an interesting thought, but I don't see anything in Jermain that makes me think he could do it. Even with enough stamina to go at a crazy high pace for 12 rounds. Seems to me Jermain just isn't a high-pace fighter.

I do like him though. He's got skills, an excellent jab, and I thought he won the rematch against Pavlik. Kelly was outboxed, IMO. Unfortunately the judges scored it for Kelly's aggression, mainly.

Wow,someone that deals in facts for once, thanks for presenting logic into the discussion. How weak of an argument is it when someone says "well in his prime so and so would have beat Clazaghe". It's childish for one. Eubank, Hopkins,Jones whomever signed the contract made millions and proceeded to lose. I don't hear the actual fighters complaining much at all, just their irrational fans. In fact I consider myself fans of all of these fighters but once you get in the ring that is where the truth lies, not on some weak ass thread or bull**** magazine article speaking to what ifs. The fact is Calzaghe beat everyone that he fought. It wasn't like he just all of the sudden became champion. All the good fighter's over the last decade have known who Joe is, but were in no hurry to challenge him, especially on the cheap. Your right on when you suggest that the fans of these fighters would go crazy if one of their faves beat Calzaghe. It would be completely legit as well to go bat **** crazy, because the guy is the best in the world period.
