  • How sad Holyfields fighting for 750 K.

    Very sad.

Poor bloke. Wish him luck though. He looks like he doesn't want to be there in the interviews.

All that alimony he has to pay that's forcing him to keep fighting. Shame really.

The guy has earned 200 millions from his career. He shouldn't be fighting at all.

Mate he fought Tyson for $30 million.

You would think 10 years later, you wouldn't have to take a beating for 750K that jeoparadizes his health.

I have always thought boxers need better financial advice, from financial advisors, organized by boxing councils and not promoters/managers.

your right but boxing will never unionize or have any form of pension or retirement funds, the promoters and shot callers would never give in.

believe it or not i think McCain as much as i despise him, was claiming he wanted to clean up boxing LOL

I really want Holyfield to be the oldest heavyweight champ ever. But not at the expense that he gets hurt. If he beat Valuev i dont think Holy would retire anyway. He would go after Haye and Vitali as well.

I heard Holyfield was broke. How can that be when he made so much cash and seemed to have a responsible head on his shoulders.

In interviews etc, Holyfield does come across as a very nice guy and I wish him the best for this fight.
