floyd won that fight. the only reason that fight is even argued is because it was close and the HBO commentators did a great job enforcing their own opinion on who they thought won that fight. Floyd won all of the first 6 rounds. In the last 6 rounds, floyd got deducted a point in a round that he won and Castillo got deducted in a round that he won as well, so there were 2 tied rounds IMO. and the other 4 rounds could have gone either way. Castillo did not do enough to win that fight and floyd did. A floyd win or a draw are acceptable outcomes for that fight but a Castillo win would have been out of the question. And the fact that Mayweather was injured and he did not fight again until the Castillo rematch and Castillo stayed active by fighting between their 2 fights, and mayweather won in convincing fashion, should throw this ridiculous claim of a castillo win, out the window.

      oh good question

i think he could have. but the version of oscar floyd fought at 154 would have given pac a far sterner test, but pac would still beat him

corrales and castillo would have tested him too, but he should have beaten them

judah may have given him a pretty good fight too

but yeah he could have done it- however after watching a little of prime castillo and having a think, im thinking a prime JLC at 135 would have really given manny a great fight, and im thinking a close decision would go either way

JLC was master at cutting off the ring and had underrated foot speed as he stalked faster opponents and walked them down, much like kostya tszyu used to do ...close fight with manny at 135

On paper, Dela Hoya, Morales, Marquez and Barrera should have beaten Pacman. On paper, half of those in Mayweather's resume being natural lightweights, jr. welters and welters could beat Pacman. On paper, Mayweather is the greatest boxer to ever lace on a pair of gloves. Inside the ring, its a different story.

At 130 you'd have a handfull of fights I think. Anything above that you have to give to Floyd.

I mean lookin back at what lightweights we've had, I don't even see Paq as a real lightweight. Paq can't even handle gettin tagged by Marquez, theres just no way he'd be able to deal with any real lightweights. I mean Ive Oscar Larios hurt Paq, Jorge Solis stung him too. Theres just no way he'd be able to deal with JLC or Corrales and definantly not Floyd.

Its just soo easy to be a delusional Paq fan cause you have close to nothin to guage Paq's skill on. Manny just doesnt fight fresh bodys or guys who can ****. And in very few instances he has, he catches a beating.

So until we see Paq actually in there with a lively skilled fighter, lol just gonna have to deal with dumb **** like this.

Its a no brainer. Pac is one of the greatest boxers ever. Noone PBF fought was that acclaimed. Certainly not to Pacs level, so i dont see any reason why Pac wouldnt toy and then destroy all of PBFs competiton.

PBF was showing off that the best opponent he beat was a DLH. Well Pac did much better. So basically PBF has always been overated and he has nothing to brag about now.

Barrera, Marquez, Larios, Morales are to Pac like Corrales, Castillo, Hatton, Judah, Genaro Hernandez are to Floyd.

Both have good resumes and both are good boxers, in my opinion though, Pac Man wouldnt be able to beat Floyd. I would be a great match though

Damn Hugh, you been getting stuck into the crack whores again too much lately. It's fizzled your brain.

How do you propose that Pac toys with, and then destroys the guys that Mayweather beat. For example:

Many people are saying Pac is too quick for Castillo, but are forgetting just how good he was at lightweight. He beat Casamayor who would have been as quick as Pac is right now when they fought. He also beat Johnston who was quick as hell and a great, great fighter. Of course he also gave Mayweather hell in their first fight and made it reasonably close in the second. He deals with speed ok, and is not exactly slow himself. Very hard for Pac to win this fight, very hard, let alone toy and destroy him.

Actually i rate Hatton very much for PBFS resume. But IMO the mind games helped PBF win that fight and his talk with the referee. Blinding the ref to his own dirty tactics because the ref was concentrating so much on Hatton fouling.

The ball is in PBFs court if he wants Pac. I dont know who would win, but PBF will have a great name on his resume if he beats Pac before Hatton does.
PBF will be able to retire in peace with someone like Pacman on it.

Maybe it's possible Prime Castillo gives Pac trouble but Pac toys with Prime, undefeated, Diego Corrales

I don't think so. I think the biggest fight is either Margarito or Williams. If he beat either of the two, he wouldn't need Pac at all and it would establish Floy as having a good resume at 147. Williams is at 154 now I think so that would be even better for his 154 legacy. His legacy at 147+ isn't much to talk about in my opinion when we consider he brought up the likes of SRL and SRR as being below him.
