right.... every major prizefight feels like an actual event, especially in hindsight, you really get to capture the mood, the feelings, the circumstances that were going on in 94 based on that one fight

I watched the whole HBO telecast earlier today, there really has never been anything like George Foreman before or since. James Toney to an extent, but even he never had that crossover appeal because everything he talks about is James Toney. Foreman, with his unlikely success story, really created a lot of interest in the sport.

It just makes me yearn for the days when a heavyweight champion bore relevance to everyday life, the way Tyson, Foreman, Ali have.

Holy %$^& that was a loooong time ago.

I was in second grade. That was the first year the Rockets won the NBA title, beating Patrick Ewing and John Starks and the Knicks. Mike Stanley was the Yankees' catcher and Jim Abbot was their ace pitcher.

The 49ers won the Super Bowl. It was the middle of Clinton's first term.

And Jones was in a PPV main event not long ago and James Toney is still a top 10 contender. WTF

          2nd grade? wow...i was a junior in high school...lol
