cotto needs 2 integrate knowing when 2 clinch, hold,& stay off the ropes.everyone says that cotto was forced into the ropes & 2 go toe 2 toe;but what i see everytime i watch the fight again is that it almost seemed as if cotto would stop on hes own 2 brawl on the ropes; to get a breather or not, it was a bad strategy which had no clinching or holding of any sort.did cotto ever understand the type of fighter he was fighting? i think he didnt give tony that much respect since he said he trained exactly as he did against mosley, which if i recall he ran out of gas by the 8th.it almost seemed at times as if cotto was actually trying 2 knock tony out...lol. i predicted that cotto would win by decision;& i still think that if cotto would have coasted for 6 rounds & then started 2 brawl he would have come out with the win and even the ko because tony also slowed down and was looking dazed around the middle of the 8th round before he rallied back towards the end of that round.i think cotto forced the ko because he knew he wasnt conditioned 2 fight at that pace for twelve.but if ur reading this cotto, remember that back in the days fighters use 2 train for 15 round fights.and the mentality was 2 train for 20 rounds if u had 2.i believe mosley and mayweather jr. have a good chance @ beating margarito because of their undisputed conditioning and because im sure that even though tony caught up 2 cotto,u could se how hard it was for tony 2 find his target.imaging a faster better condition fighter.& im sure that finally tony has cottos complete attention & respect; for that matter i believe cotto will make corrections, train harder,& beat margarito in their rematch......cotto remember clinching 2 avoid them uppers not duckin & dippin,& stay off the f...ing ropes and oh yeah please train harder stamina is key.from a true fan who wishes u well but calls it like it is.Comment

Cotto wont have confidence problems against Jennings. Hell prolly show up full of it like when he was against Gomez. [Larry voice on] But ...what happens ....when he sees Margarito smile at him ....again ..........while taking his punches .......once again ...in ...the ring? That.... is.... the question![Larry voice off]Comment

I think Miguel Handlers are making the same mistake that they did before by putting these tune up matches before he faces the REAL DEAL. They did the same
thing by putting Cotto against Gomez (a given win) Margarito is facing Mosley way tougher than Jennings. Margarito destroyed Cintron who by the way has a pretty strong punch. To really see if Miguel Cotto is ready they should have put him in the ring with Kermit Cintron.
REASONS
1. He's almost as tall as Margarito (Will give Cotto some more experience on fighting a bigger guy before Margarito again)
2. Cintron has a devastating punch (Would test Cotto's resistance to heavy hitters)
3. Would be a better test for him before the toughest fight of his career (AGAIN).
But instead they put him in the ring with a no name easy win not testing his will, heart & limitations. People say Floyd fought no bodies but if you compare
Cotto's & PBF's record you would see that Floyd fought tougher guys throughout his career but made them look like losers. Cotto toughest fights at Welter has been Mosley & Margarito who beat him so in actuality he hasn't really been tested until them 2. If Cotto hasn't learned from his lost from Margarito he will get beat worst the 2nd time.Comment
