Ive always believed showtime puts together better fights than hbo.showtime puts those young hungry guys in there and makes em prove themselves, after that exposer hbo comes and lures them away.ex.angulo,kirkland and dawson.showtimes corrales v.s. castillo best fight ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think you saw the same fight I saw! I don't think it will be as entertaining at this point but don't try to discredit the last bout in order to argue your point! HBO should be pushing Dibella and Taylor to chase the SMW belts and claim supremacy of that division! No more exhibition type meaningless bouts! This is why ppl stream fights. Why pay for what you don't want when you can peak in on the bouts you want for nothing more than a internet bill. I only have Showtime and HBO for BOXING! Now that I can stream it, ***em!

I think when they said no Mismatches, they meant no meaningful fights.

Damn HBO, first Dawson-Tarver II, now Taylor-Wright II? Come on, with Winky's lay-off and Taylor's loss of the Middleweight belt, this train left the station a long time ago.

I'm starting to think HBO must be a profit-losing tax dodge for a bigger organisation elsewhere. That's the only logical reason they keep staging fights no-one wants to see.

Winky ought to move on, along with Oscar, Roy, Calzaghe, Tarver and all the other old-timers and part-timers. Their time is over.

Why do TV networks have more say than the actual boxing world on what fights happen? I know its money but its wrong!
This is what I've been thinking of how to convey. They are chasing the most immediate perhaps bigger bucks. But it's not guaranteed or long term. Their going to run out of people to keep doing this to and HBO themselves will lose out in the long run, aswell as boxing fans. Taylors just got going again and they seem to only be behind easier fights for him against kinda names. It's really lame and superficial I'm afraid.

This is exactly the kind of thing that is putting people of the sport, the corruption and control of the sport by people whom don't care directly for fair play, but money. There's no other sport I can think of where this is quite so true, rife, and corrupt. Strong words, but over here we would not stand for too many ****ty fights being forced by a network, no network has that much power and it seems HBO does, whilst everyone else laps it up and says sorry, not my fault. Well yes it is, grow some balls, do what you want to do and achieve in the sport, and take your money making skills elsewhere, to help the sport. Going a long with it is making it worse and making it happen time and time again.

It seems once again, 'HBO Promotions' is pulling shenanigans? Taylor vs. Froch is something new and different. I don't want to see Taylor vs Wright again, at least without a title on the line. At least with the Froch fight, it'll be guaranteed to be an all-action entertaining affair. If Taylor wasn't locked down with 'HBO Promotions,' I bet Showtime would put Taylor-Froch on in a heartbeart. HBO may still be the leader as far as numbers and ppv, but the overall quality of the fights they put on has been generally poor lately.

HA HA HA HA Taylor vs Winky will destroy boxing HA HA HA HA Did you complain when HBO put on Calzaghe vs Jones??? What about Manfraudo vs Zaghe??? The first Taylor-Winky fight ended in a draw and it was exciting so this match up isn't the tragedy most people make it out to be.

I think it is a bit funny that you are so critical of HBO when in Britain Khan was on two PPVs. It isn't just America that puts on crap cards,it is a world wide concept.

                      Thats terrible.

HBO saying no more mismatches! yet Wright a career 154lb`r hasnt won in 2yrs fighting at 168 when Taylor v Froch could be made.

                      That is shocking.
