Madness!
i think it has something to do with a rematch clause

Glen's been robbed pretty much his whole career. Half the losses on his record were shady decisions. In fact Calzaghe OWES him a fight, too. This is one thing about Joe that pisses me off. I don't think Glen would win, but that's besides the point. Glen would give Joe a damn tough fight and earn a decent amount of money.

i think everybody agrees they'd RATHER see johnson-dawson than tarver-dawson, but at the same time i can't agree with glen johnson calling out dawson for ducking him.......what part of REMATCH CLAUSE do ppl not get???

exactly. i guess people see and hear what they want, instead of checking all the facts.....

i'd love to see a rematch, not necessarily b/c he deserves it, but b/c chad made a mistake the first fight and tried to trade with glencoffe a lil too much. he ended up getting hurt late in the fight, and for some reason everybody thinks he lost the fight b/c of it......

ridiculous. chad outboxed glen the rest of the fight, won more rounds, and therefore deserved the decision rightfully. i respect glen johnson for being a "warrior" and bringing the "fight" to every fight, but dude got outboxed, he didn't win enough rounds to win the fight the first time, period. i want to see a rematch, b/c chad fights smarter, outboxes glen again, and picks and chooses his spots to trade......dawson damn near shuts johnson out in a rematch, and in the process shuts everybody up.....it's hilarious to me how the author of this article put "even the most objective observers thought glen johnson won the first fight."

I'd say about 80% of the viewers who were actually at the fight also booed Chad Dawson after the fight.

If anyone needs a refresher, go to the video section of this site and watch it again. If after that you come to the conclusion that Dawson won 116-112, you're as corrupt as the judges who scored the fight and clearly biased in favor of Dawson.

As for the ****** comment above about Calzaghe, what are you talking about? No one gets as much **** around as him.
i'd say mayweather, for one, probably gets more **** than calzaghe, and he's "retired"...............once joe decides to retire, no one will be talking about him.

nah, in boxing ppl win fights all types of ways.......

for example, i doubt montell griffin would've wanted to fight roy jones after roy "lost" to him by dq.....the rematch clause is given to champions to try to reclaim their titles......

however, in fights where its pretty much one-sided all the way through, like this one was, i agree the rematch clause should be outlawed!!!

then again, you'd hope a fighter's trainers, wife, cousin or somebody would be there to talk sense into him before he gets hurt or embarrasses the **** outta himself. but i guess that's easier said than done, especially when it comes to fighters....

                    A sad affair

I am a avid boxing fan,but i will not watch the rematch.
My god, the first one was boring. Johnson deserves a rematch
having already beat dawson the first time around.

damn chad dawson really dont give a **** about what fans think of him, lol its real funny, almost everyone thought he lost to jonhson, usually "great" fighters give the fans the fight they want, but dawson only cares about getting paid, and theres nothin wrong with that, but it seems he doesnt care about his legacy whatsoever.
if tarver wins the fight i wouldnt be shocked but the point is there shouldnt be a rematch to a fight that was one-sided and boring
