Not because he thought he'd lose, admittedly, but because he didn't like Witter and didn't want to give him a pay day, but it's still ducking in my book. The best should fight the best regardless of personal feelings. De La Hoya fought Vargas even though he couldn't stand the guy.

(Also, re. Witter losing to Bradley, Witter's father died a few days before the fight, so it's unfair to judge him on that performance).
Hatton never fought Witter because Witter's a complete tw*t mate. You don't challenge a fighter whilst he's a post ring-side interview by sticking your head through the ropes saying "I WILL DESTROY YOU!" its just disrespectful. Witter's a good fighter no doubt about it, but Hatton doesn't like what he represents.

I think pacquiao has never experienced a punch bigger than a superfeather weight punch so its unpredictable how he will respond to light welter power. Barrera, Morales and Marquez are great fighters but are small men compared to Hatton, diaz didn't have a game plan to actually hit pacman and DLH was an empty shell of a man. As long as Floyd snr finds a way for ricky toget inside without taking clean punches Hatton will stop Pac inside first half of the fight. ps should be in Britain because philipenes too poor and america doesn't have anything to do with it.

        pac 2 good for hatton

hatton has got no chance if the pac of the last two fights shows up. people are saying that hatton will back him up he cant take the pressure. pac is well rounded now. and can box or brawl when he needs. the difference once again will be speed. hatton hasn't got enough to beat pacquiao

          Pacman is a special fighter.

Hatton is a very good fighter a world class fighter but he's not special like Pac.

          Pac stoppage. Late on.

I wonder what the chances are of Floyd Sr. coaching Hatton again for this fight?

I just have a feeling Hatton will beat Manny. Manny will have to work on not throwing wide punches with someone like Hatton.

This will be a huge fight on May 2009. Hatton will again taste his 2nd defeat by Brutal KO.

                Pacman RULES........

so it should be here in england because " philippines is to poor " and " america doesnt have anything to do with it " yeh ok then america is a good place because its a netrual place to fight for both fighters and i would like the fight to be in here in england but i just think it will be better for it to be in america so it wouldnt be biased over here with the judges and ref ect

nah, pac will have to work on his counterpunching and footwork... hatton will need to hold-n-hit to win.
