This isn't even a question. Mexico by itself is better for boxing than the UK. Adding Puerto Rico and Cuba is just running up the score.

Look at the fights of the year. Castillo-Corrales (Arce-Hussein runner up)....etc. Look at this decade so far from 2000-2007. Out of those 7fights (14 fighters) 7 of them, half, were Mexican. This year the fight of the year might be Cotto-Margarito or Vaz-Marq III.

Cuba ain't even in the mix in the pros. Maybe you can do me a favor and name me more than 3 fighters other than cassamayod in the elite level for Cuba. Amateurs, Cuba is the ****.

Latin America is better for boxing, give me one example of a bigger rivalry in boxing with more exciting fights than the Puerto Rico vs. Mexico rivalry, the only british fighter that I can agree is good for boxing is Hatton, he draws people in with his style.

I thought they had 48? and some of those are from the States Mr 4 million people my arse .

It was in the low 90's but i think it is nearing 100 UK champions now. I can't remember exactly someone from this site spent ages making a list.

Remember though Britain has World champions from nearing on a 100 years ago.

So make a average of champions vs Population and you will see.

And anyways Great Britain Have Ireland, Scottland and England. Mexico by itself have had 107 total Champions. So between Mexico and PR alone we have had more Champions than Britan. Imagine if you add Panama and the rest!!!!!!

I would agree that currently Latin America has a bigger influence, i just wanted to add a bit of information to show that it wasn't that one sided, after all we invented the modern sport .
