The Gentleman of Boxing
Yeah, I've heard lots of fighters cry. Oscar actually said he cried after he lost against Tito I think.
You work so hard to achieve a Win and you think you are going to win, but then you lose and it's a shock to your psyche.
Hell, even Alexander the Great used to cry according to stories. If it's fact, not sure; I wasn't there, but that is what I read
In the end, Floyd by the accounts I read, will be known as a nice person and people cry when a nice person dies; not an asswhole...although, maybe not in all cases.
Tyson: he has some
issues. I wouldn't count him as a "born" fighter like some of those kids that start fighting and beating people up at 6. I heard he hung around girls for the first part of his childhood. And kids that take special attention to animals, like birds, tend to have a soft side. Funny when we are talking about the same Tyson that punched the crap out of fighters...but he did kiss and make up after the fight.
I like that one quote during the documentaries about how one fighter was asked "what is it like to fight Tyson?" and he replied "He fights like you stole something from him"
It wasn't until that incident with the pigeon that he found his balls. After that, it was about proving he was a tough guy. From Bullied to the Bully. He did some real crazy **** as a youth.
Who knows exactly what he has. They did say he has "low-self-esteem."
I wouldn't be surprised if he has ADHD or something or maybe it's just those freaky high hormones made him out of control. Remember your teen years? How were they? For me, I was a crazy MF. Good times, but hard times...kind of glad I calmed down...but I miss the adrenaline.
I still want to see what Mike says in full from that documentary that came out recently. Lots of books written about him as well as video documentaries, but I want to hear it from his mouth. Not that his view now might not be construed a bit, but I want to see what he says.
