Valero-Pitalua bid postponed!
WBC President Jose Sulaiman has informed the camps of WBC #1 lightweight contender Edwin Valero and #2 contender Antonio Pitalua that the purse bid for the interim title of the lightweight division planned for Friday has been rescheduled to January 9 at noon in at the WBC Executive Offices in Mexico City. Sulaiman cited a recent family tragedy and the date being so close to the holidays as the reason for the postponement.
Nice to see Valero still taking on such stiff competition. Pitalua's competition since his last loss are a whopping 172-80-6. Valero wants Pac, but still as of yet hasn't fought a unanimus top 10 fighter. I know he's had medical problems, but lets get a move on already! My guess is when this guy gets knocked off it'll be in embarrassing fashion.
