Which Fab 4 opponent gives Floyd the toughest time?

lol well it's not really specifics......
i voted duran because he's my favorite. him and hagler a close 2nd.
but as far as who blows him out quickly......it'd have to be hearns.
those long skinny arms were packing dynamite.
i say hearns turns out the lights in the early rounds.
duran and hagler would wear him down and overpower him but it'll take a bit longer than hearns.
leonard would dance with floyd.Comment

It's kind of weird to think about... I think Hearns is clearly the worst of the 4 (although he's still badass), and I think he blows Floyd out the quickest and most convincingly too... that jab was killer and the right hand killed.lol well it's not really specifics......

TOMMY HEARNS.
Not only was Tommy out-boxing the Great SRL, but he had a jab from hell and a punch that Zeus was envious of.
I'm not sold on Floyd hurting Tommy like SRL had. SRL was actually a power puncher according to Steward and many others, including himself
, in the amatuers, but he was more careful in the Pros. He had no choice but to let go of his hands and hit Tommy hard to change the fight.

I favor all 4 over him as well, however; I do think he has a shot at Duran if we had to choose one out of the 4; Prime vs. Prime at lightweight. I think Duran at 147 though beats Floyd because Floyd stopped moving and throwing like he did at lightweight.Comment

I think the Duran that beat De Jesus in their third fight would have beaten Mayweather, that was arguably Duran at his best at lightweight, movement never really deterred Duran anyway, guys like Bizarro, Viruet, Buchanan, Fernandez etc. all tried to move on Duran with varying success but the results were normally the same, granted those guys aren't on Mayweather's skill level but still, I don't think Mayweather's movement would have bothered Duran too much at 135, especially the Duran of 75-78.Comment

Side question: Was Hearns the best ever at 154? He was undefeated and kept all of his power when he moved up.Comment

I understand that Floyd fought poorly against JLC, and I had Floyd winning the first fight despite this and his injury.
I just think that Castillo caused him problems that are indicative of what Duran would do to him. There is just no way Floyd would be able to keep Roberto off him for the full 12. Add to that the fact that Duran was also amazingly skilled himself and I just see no way to favour Floyd over him.
So yeah, I say Hagler gives him the most trouble and stops him very early, followed by Tommy who stops him pretty early also. The Leonard who might or might not have stopped Floyd, I would lean towards not, and then Duran who outhustles Floyd and wins a decision against him.
No way I could favour Floyd over any of them though.Comment
