Ridiculous title shots and absurd undefeated records against has-beens, never-rans and other various ****e.

That's why, before Leonard, Duran had to go through the ranks of the welter division to become the top contender. He beat Palomino to do that, you know that HOF guy. To get the Moore shot he beat Cuevas which was the eliminator for the top contender. He went straight to Hagler because this was the start of the boxing 'superstar/superfight' era.
So Leoanrd challlenging and beating the best fighters, is a bad thing...WTF. So we should see fighters that either do what duran did and that is fight and lose, or do what Mayweather does and that is not fight the best.....Wow...

Some nice evasion there. Sven Ottke had a higher % of championship fights than Floyd, won more championship fights than Floyd, made more title defences than Floyd, won his first title earlier in his career, and retired undefeated at the age of 36. By your own measure of greatness, he's superior to PBF.

        You have two choices:
        - Either concede you're talking ****e, or
        - Concede that Sven Ottke is superior to Floyd Mayweather.

just because a guy fights for 40 years doesn't make him an automatic atg, bhop has had a more impressive career then duran

I dont think the TS is dis*****g that, I think he is saying that he is not a TOP 10 ATG , especially not above any of the other fab 4 Hearns, Duran and Leonard.

              I could be wrong

naw youre spot on..duran is not better than the other fab 3 and I rank him around 25-30 the fact that he never defended a title outside of 135 hurts him in the atg legacy rankings.

winning a title is one thing defending it is another

                  duran is a LIGHTWEIGHT.
for 12 years duran's only loss was to esteban dejesus. (which he avenged a couple of years later)
he was also the first man to ever beat sugar ray leonard. a prime sugar ray leonard.
                  threadstarter is a moron.

LOL I guess fighting The Top Guys and losing to them makes you a top 10 ATG,...in that case Oscar De La Hoya should be #1 on the ATG List

Duran was great but a top 10 atg? Naw

Roberto Duran is in my 30 for sure...but not in my top 10...however i have duran ahead of hagler and hearns but far behind Sugar Ray Leonard...duran's record is incredible and the longevity of his success is totally understated

So because a fighter fights for a long time that makes him an Top 10 ATG?
