Chad Dawson-Antonio Tarver Set For March 14, HBO

With very few opponents biting, IBF light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson is going to fight Antonio Tarver in a rematch on March 14 on HBO. The first fight was televised by Showtime on October 11 with Dawson putting on a dominating performance to win the title from Tarver. Soon after Tarver made it known that he was going to exercise his rematch clause. Tarver has been called the master of the rematch, winning his rematch bouts with Eric Harding, Roy Jones Jr. and Glen Johnson. But this time Tarver is the old veteran coming in against the young lion who dominated him in the first meeting. [details]

try and unify the belts and tempt Calzaghe for a unification fight.

I understand now why he wasn't balls to the wall calling out Calzaghe for a fight now. Tarver had him tied up.

Damnitt! I'll still watch it though. I'm hoping Dawson KO's Tarver to put more of a demand on the Calzaghe fight.

We'll he has a mandortory due with Tavorios Cloud after that...so his two fight deal is pretty much used up unless he give up the belts because HBO doesn't approve Cloud.

if tarver comes in counter punching this fight could look totally different. i see tarver making adjustments but he should still be a decisive underdog here.he thought he was going to come in and blow dawson away being dominant (not his fight). he will look better this time but probably still wont win.

i dont know why people hatin on this fight so much, theres a rematch clause and tarver wanted it,dawson had no choice but to agree.calzaghe and hopkins are not interested in him because they dont have nothing to prove, i wouldve preferred him having a rematch with glen johnson instead,cuz i thought he lost that fight.
tarver is the underdog,but i wouldnt be shocked if he wins, it wouldnt be an upset

Shut da **** up. This fight is garbage, nobody is gonna watch it, and I hope Tarver gets seriously hurt. If I were Dawson I would vacate the title so I wouldn't have to fight this joke. Tarver is garbage, and has always been garbage, and his wife looks like a ******.
