With very few opponents biting, IBF light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson is going to fight Antonio Tarver in a rematch on March 14 on HBO. The first fight was televised by Showtime on October 11 with Dawson putting on a dominating performance to win the title from Tarver. Soon after Tarver made it known that he was going to exercise his rematch clause. Tarver has been called the master of the rematch, winning his rematch bouts with Eric Harding, Roy Jones Jr. and Glen Johnson. But this time Tarver is the old veteran coming in against the young lion who dominated him in the first meeting. [details]

THIS SUCKS!!!!!! I don't see how this could be better than the first time around, but Tarver knows it's his last shot so you never know. Plus he does have the whole track record of rematches being his best performances. -

I'm a huge Dawson fan but I don't want to see this fight, it's entirely pointless. If someone wanted to know the definition of dominance, they just need to watch Tarver-Dawson.
Oh well, what can you do - **** had a rematch clause.

wtf? why. god damn this is BS. their first fight wasn't even close. it was like chad was in a sparring session against an amateur boxer. don't merchant, lampley and kellerman advise the ppl calling the shots at HBO? this is just wrong.Comment
