Calzaghe for me. His haters' main gripe with him is that he supposedly ducked Roy and Hopkins in their primes. Yet it was Hopkins who backed out of a fight with Calzaghe in 2002 after initially agreeing to it. And Roy was never going to fight him in his prime as Calzaghe was unknown commodity back then and the fight would've only sold if it was held in UK, and Roy was never fighting outside of the US.

When you look at the situation with these three, on who ducked who, you've got to take form into account. Who avoided fights called for by the fans when they were on top and who put it all on the line and made them happen.

Calzaghe fought the guys seen as his biggest threats in Lacy and Kessler, who were both unbeaten and both were supposed to dethrone him.

Michaelczewski was the only guy out there for Roy to prove something against and he never could manage to get in the ring with him.

The fight Hopkins needed most was a rematch with Roy and he managed to price himself out of it every time, even though he was the only one who needed it.

Only when they had nothing to lose and Joe was top dog were these guys so suddenly eager to fight Joe. The fact Joe gets criticised for taking these fights when he was again the only one to put it all on the line, just shows me no matter what he does it will never be good enough for the haters. He should just retire and say a big **** EM, as these idiots obviously don't know what a real fighter is

Paul Williams is still fighting to get to the top and just entered a new divion where the divison before hand he wasn't even the best at. How they put this guy in the p4p is a ****en joke.

In my opinion, all of those fighters get more hate then they deserve, aside from Cotto. Cotto doesnt get nearly as much hate as the others on that list.
