Damn, I knew I was right.

Joe fought the same at LH and SM, no change in style dumb ass. He would fight the same way because thats the way he fought against Mikkel, Bernard and Roy and his whole ****in career.

Its not like he has to carry power to 175 because he aint got none. He throws punches, I mean, SLAPS in bunches. Style wise there would be no change from Joe.
Style wise there was no change, but the big problem when moving up in weight is getting used to fighting with the extra-weight added on. You don't wanna have to getting used to **** when you're in the ring with a guy like B-Hop!

      STYLES MAKE FIGHTS.

      5 pounds = nothing.

      Bye.

I know that styles make fights but 175 is not Bernards best weight and he showed that by easily making 170. At 175 Bernard BARELY lost because he got tired. At 170 he is in better shape, faster, and doesnt get as tired. Bernard was fighting at a constant pace and throwing lots of punches and didnt get tired when he fought Kelly at 170. And he wouldnt get as tired against Joe at 170.

I suppose my wording wasn't great, but you get what I mean. When you want a break, and someones on top of you, throwing punches, it wears you out mentally and physically.

175 was much more Hopkins' weight than it was Joes..

Joe had never fought there, a career SMW. Hopkins had fought Tarver at 175, and Winky at 170 in his last 2 fights.

All that I am saying is at 170 Bernard beats Joe. He beat Joe the first time and didnt get the decision because he got tired and so on. Bernard at 170 is in better shape and doesnt get tired so easily. Bernard win a wide UD in B vs Joe 2.
Listen man, Bernard paid a lot of money for Mackie Shilstone. Mackie told Bernard he has an incredible body and stamina for a 40+ year old man. The body of a 28 year-old, in fact.

Bernard put together a DREAM TEAM for the Calzaghe fight. Bernard was more than good enough at 175. So good, he was holding the Ring belt.

Calzaghe was trained in an old shed by a failed musician.

Why the **** are you making excuses for Bernard Hopkins? Is he paying you?

People act like Bernard had fought at 175 for YEARS. He only had ONE fight against Tarver, is in no way a DOMINANT Champ.

I just feel that at 170 Bernard would have been a bit faster, and not get as tired. He had more muscle at 175 with Mackie, and muscles take more oxygen and get tired quicker.

I know that 5 pounds is not a big thing to us, but 5 pounds is boxing is like 15 pounds to a regular person.

When you are an athlete in ANY sport you must be at your physical best to achieve peak performance. Am I wrong? Well, Bernard was not at his peak that fight.

And 175 is better for Joe not Nard because Bernard fought at 160 his whole career, and skipped SM. Joe was the heavier fighter over their entire career.

You know i'm a B-Hop fan for life man.

But the whole thinking of Hopkins being better against Pavlik than against Calzaghe is wrong IMO, it's just a case of those guys styles. Anyway, it's no knock against Hop that at 43 years old he couldn't keep up with Joe by a slight fraction, no one has so far!

FRKOOOOOOOOOOOO lol different day, same **** in ur mouth lol...anywho i had B. up a round...And seeing how he REALLY only opened up id say less than 10 times in that fight amazes me how he could keep it close..JC activity of ineffective shots got him the decision but Hop dished out the punishment, it would only make sense for them to fight again but guess what lol....Its Calzaghe we are talking about here he isn't exactly a Spartan when it comes to stepping up to the plate
