Even though Fernando earned a lot of money for his fights. He actually fought real competition early on his career, and that was his downfall, anyone who calls him a bum or anything bad needs to look at his career and who he fought at the begining stages of it, Fighting a championship fight at age 21 with just 15 fights deserves credit. Give the guy some respect.

Fernando Vargas gets nothing but respect from me. A young man fed to the lions too early. -
vargas was one the best young fighters this sport has ever seen!!!! I love that guy!! He went for it all, he tried to make it straight to the top!!!!!!!!!!! Much respect to el feroz, he gave tito a hell of a fight at such a young age and fought through the many low blows tito had to throw.Comment

Vargas could of been a helluva fighter
great fights with Winky,Quartey,DLH,Trinidad and 2 decent fights with Mosley he was a warrior ill give him that.Comment

Now that Feroz is out of the game I can give him respect and the props he DOES deserve...my big beef with Fern is that he talked way too much and made him self look foolish way too many times...there were many times where I just wished he would keep it shut and just let his fists and most of all his huge HEART do the talking in the ring. Kat was a warrior and he deserves all the respect in the world for that...I wish him the best now that he is out of the ring...Comment
