Yea, I've heard of them, and neither one puts as much power into their shots as Tony does. Tony throws often with deadly intent. Williams and Joe get criticized for not putting anything on their punches.

Floyd would have fought Tony and beat him already if he felt he could.

Thats why he fought Mitchell, Ndou, Corley, Sosa, Judah, Baldomir, Hatton and DLH instead.

I'm not saying he doesn't think hes good, he just knows that he would get the beating of his life if he stepped into the ring with Tony.

    His retirement agrees with me.

btw, I'd favor Floyd slightly as well. Something like 51-49.

    However, seeing is believing.

AND a guy he hasn't beat already.
AND a guy who'e been calling him out since '06 who he said would get this shot.
Lets say he fights him and loses, he would get no credit BECAUSE HE LOST.
The reason the Hatton fight is more important is people make excuses why he lost and talk about weight.

I think you got the p4p rankings and the ww rankings confused
Those rankings refer to the welters, he beat number 2 (Cotto), he's fighting number 3 in january (mosley) thus under those circumstances the ring may make him the ring champion at welter, making him equal to Hatton at 140.

Now if u take on a real challenge against an opponent that most people feel you can lose against, and u win, GREAT. How much credit does Floyd get for beating Baldomir? Zero, zilch, nada! He got criticized to the point that he cried. Why? He was expected to do what he did, and like an emotional woman, he cried because he feels as if he didnt get the credit and recognition that he felt he deserved.

Now had Oscar been a bit closer to prime than what he was when Floyd fougth him, and Floyd had lost a close decision, he would've been given more credit than he would for winning against Baldomir for the simple fact that he stepped up to 154 to take on a dangerous opponent.

Flawless. Agree or no? And please, take your Floyd shades off before answering.

Mayweather beat Hatton by a KO at WW, then excuses were made about weight. The fight at Jr WW would silence all doubters. But you guys think its wrong for him to fight some his same size

Margarito made Cotto quit. But it's already for Margarito to give Cotto rematch when he made him quit

Look, any fight he loses he will not get as much credit. But the point is this, if he beats Hatton again, nothing happens. It wasn't the weight, it wasn't Cortez, it was the fact that Floyd was stronger, and he was even better on the inside than Ricky, what can change? Nothing.

On the other hand Tony will give him a drawn out battle no matter what, everyone knows this, your reasoning just points to the conclusion that Floyd should not take a chance, but if you think Tony is easy work then it shouldn't even be a question over who he should fight. He loses status if he loses to Tony, but he gains credit for fighting the toughest guy out there, somehting he hasn't done since 135 that has held him back from becoming the best ever.

First of all of course I don't agree to this bull****.

Like I said Mayweather would be fighting at 140 Hatton preferred weight class and would have the fight in England. Margarito would be outweighing Mayweather by 15 pounds and would get ZERO CREDIT if he had lost.

Simply Beating Hatton at 140 > Losing to Margarito at 147 when he weighs 163
