The point is that floyd would get way more credit from fans for fighting Margarito than for fighting Hatton, especially since he already manhandled Hatton and has very little to gain from fighting him again.

Mayweather has to be the favorite heading into both fights, but a fight with Tony would say a lot more about his character for taking the fight and based on what happens in the ring.

All that being said I dont think Floyd would ever do it, the chance he loses may not be the greatest but it is very real. What happens when a guy follows you all night throwing 100 punches a round smiling every time you catch him and only gaining steam as the fight goes on. One of two things, either you lose, or it's the hardest fight of your life in which you earn the damn victory, Floyd doesn't want to be in that situation.

Little to gain now, How about beating a P4P fighter for a ring title.

Its not as simple as just a win or loss. Its who you win or lose against. Of course a win is ALWAYS better than a loss, but if your win is against someone who your highly expected to win against, it kind've takes away from the glory of the win. Now if u take on a real challenge against an opponent that most people feel you can lose against, and u win, GREAT. If you put on a great performance, and happen to lose, you'll still get credit for even stepping up to the plate against a highly dangerous challenge.

How much credit does Floyd get for beating Baldomir? Zero, zilch, nada! He got criticized to the point that he cried. Why? He was expected to do what he did, and like an emotional woman, he cried because he feels as if he didnt get the credit and recognition that he felt he deserved.

Now had Oscar been a bit closer to prime than what he was when Floyd fougth him, and Floyd had lost a close decision, he would've been given more credit than he would for winning against Baldomir for the simple fact that he stepped up to 154 to take on a dangerous opponent.

Tony has never lost to a smaller man despite being slower and less skilled in practically every fight hes been in.

His stamina to be able to throw as many punches as he does is unrivaled in todays boxing landscape.

Yes, I think Margarito can beat Floyd.

Floyd doesn't really think much of his abilities they way you and his fans do.

                  1) Have you ever even heard of Paul Williams? or Joe Calzaghe?

                  2) You really think Floyd doesnt think hes that good?

How about beating a guy higher up in the P4P for the ring title, since Margarito is about to fight number 3, is number one, and already beat number 2?

AND a guy he hasn't beat already.
AND a guy who'e been calling him out since '06 who he said would get this shot.

your entire post made no sense... Margarito isnt fighting Marquez?, Margarito isnt #1? and he didnt beat Joe Calzaghe either?

I think you got the p4p rankings and the ww rankings confused
