Charles Brewer was involved in quite a few underrated fights, his fight with Graham was good, his fight with Antwun Echols was great, the Calzaghe fight was good as well.

I have wanted to see that for a while. I have heard there were multiple knockdowns, and then a controversial stoppage. Is that true?
I agree the Calzaghe fight was good, also his fight with Herol Graham is worth watching, shame that Herol couldn't finally win a world title though (for me at least, speaking as a fan) but he did come close in that fight.

Yeah, it's true. Brewer knocked Echols down 3 times in the 2nd round and had him hurt badly, the bell saved Echols after the third knockdown and he had a minute to recover, he then came out and hurt Brewer about 30 seconds into the 3rd rounds and knocked Brewer down when the referee deemed Brewer to be held up by the ropes, the ref pulled Echols off so forcefully that Echols went tumbling to the canvas. Echols then landed a few more shots on the ropes when the referee called it off, kind of an early stoppage considering he let Echols go on in the 2nd round where he was badly hurt, Brewer was definitely hurt though.
Yeah, Graham was on his way to winning the title before getting caught, the knockout came pretty suddenly too.
