Funny how they were never afraid to make it a racial issue when the shoe was on the other foot. There were always articles about the latest "great white hope" and "great white dope" back then.

**** they made a Movie about it.. A comedy.."The Great White Hype" It was that much a joke.. I remember hearing something called.. Phrases we will never hear.. and one of them was "WHITE Heavyweight Champion" on and on it went..

I find it's not black people that are prejudiced against white fighters, it's white ******s and white commentators.

For example, listen to Manny Steward and Max Kellerman's comments on Calzaghe. Kellerman is discrediting him, but Steward is fair and balanced. Max seems to deeply despise white boxers, but Steward does not have those feelings. Fran Charles the former HBO commentator was always fair to white boxers, but Teddy Atlas always sounds like he despises the white guys.

Similarly, here on boxingscene the white fighter haters are mostly white guys: DiegoFuego, kswizzy, bsrizpac, Terrible, etc.
