He got outpointed and mercy rule'd, not KO'd. Solis doesn't appear like he brings much to the pro ranks when you watch him fight. He's short, out of shape, and doesn't have any power. The rematch would be pointless. Like tons and tons of other amateur rematches in the pros, the guy who lost in the amateurs would just destroy the guy who beat him now that he is more experienced.

When the true division division champ moves up in weight, he is always immediately in the mix for a title shot. Unifying most of the belts at cruiser along with grabbing the Ring and lineal titles makes him more deserving than, well, any heavyweight really. Who would you rather have given further unification is impossible right now? His top cruiserweight wins are more impressive than any serious contender's resume at heavyweight.
