I don't see what's so 'profound' about that statement.
Of course people are going to focus on the negative. Media thrives on negativity, and people eat it up.
This is not a new concept, and its not something that Floyd or 50 Cent aren't already aware of.
Floyd Mayweather Jr never got the type of exposure outside of boxing simply because his style is not crowd pleasing, or even entertaining, at that, to the casual fan.
Well, the only other way to get media attention is to make a complete ass of yourself, and that is what worked for Floyd, even though his 'bad guy' role is so transparent.
