I think he would be more accepted fighting below WW because then we can see a more exciting Floyd. He wont need to be completely defensive. But because he fought bigger guys, he didn't open up. Its all good though, if he fights Pac, im sure we'll see fireworks.
i mean its kind of a catch 22 and some bull**** at that.. most casual and hardcore fans want an exciting fighter to bring drama, excitement, and cause roundtable discussions... but when that comes you got sissy ass fans talking bout "oh hes ruuude" "he doesnt have any class" "hes bad for the sport"

but be the same mothafuckas tuning into the fight!!

lets be real..... the sports been boring without Floyds skill and antics and both lovers and haters want to see him back in the ring <-- thats the point! win or lose the fact is you want to see the guy.... and that cant be said about many fighters today

well, the sport may be boring to you, but not to me. Of course, I really appreciate the way Floyd sells a fight. Thats what I miss most about him. Its takes a lot MENTALLY to put on that kind of persona for such a long time.
But, my only problem with that, is when you're on the kind of stage that Floyd is on, that Hatton is on, that DLH is on and now that Pacquiao is on, you can't promise fans an exciting fight and not produce. When you do the kind of PPV fights these guys do, you HAVE to balance out strategy with excitement. Because if you bore the fans, you hurt the sport. All this, "boxers don't owe fans anything because they aren't the ones in the ring" bull**** is just that..bull****. Fans make you rich. Fans keep boxing on TV. If fans don't want to watch anymore, we will have to go to our local gyms to watch a fight.

i'll say the sport has been less exciting... on a fun factor level, on a build up level, on an intriguing level, etc..... honestly:

                  - the HW divisions been ****ty

                  - most of the best fighters of the generation are getting old and being ushered out by Calzaghe

                  - i'd really rather not see Cotto get beat the fuck up for a 2nd time by Marg

                  - Mosleys busy fighting any and everybody with a name

                  - Dawson really doesnt have anyone to fight cuz the LHW divisions not that deep

                  - its time for DLH to hang em up as if we'll really be missing anything when he retires besides overpriced PPVs

                  - Mannys gotta jump up and down 8 different weight divisions just to make exciting fights for the boxing public

                  - and most of the real matches us hardcore fans want to see arent being made cuz one or the other fighter doesnt want that fight

I agree with you with that. I just hope Floyd comes back and fights quality. I dont want to see him in with Hatton or Hoya again.
