I understand your passion for Mayweather but in all actually, his run is coming to an end soon and I firmly believe the Pacman will be the victor of this matchup. No offense to Mr. Mayweather's skills and victories in the past but this is the present. A "New King" is here and it's the Pacman. You shouldn't look at the past. Look at the present. The Pacman is much more experienced now than ever before. And fortunately for him, he will be even more of a "MONSTER" once he faces Mayweather. I think your underestimation of the Pacman will make you look foolish once this fight is over and done with. JAT

you can't really compare the current manny to the one that fought morales. totally different fighters! manny has gotten better from each fight. Pac was a nobody and wasn't expect to even contend, but WHOOOPED barrera in the first fight. That's when manny was just a raw slugger. He did not get his ass kicked by marquez.. decision could have gone either way. If anything marquez was the one who kissed canvas. A shot oscar? Oscar was not in his prime, but pacmans movement is the reason why ODLH couldn't find manny. Even HBO commentators were saying ODLH cant find manny due to manny's movement. Cant wait if this fight goes through.. the boards will crash..

Well that's why I said Floyd shouldn't come back unless he is 100%, and what I mean by that is; bring back his old fighting ways or stay retired.

I ripped the way Floyd fought after he moved to 147 and they told me it was because he was fighting "bigger" guys so he is not only fighting smarter, he is even better than ever. I said bull****. Since when is neglecting the jab, throwing less punches by throwing pot-shots better? Answer: because it is too dangerous to open up. To dangerous? So why fight at 147; bull****. I can't remember the reason for when I asked about him taking longer to start to kick it in gear instead of taking the fight from the first round on but I'm sure it wasn't worth remembering.

The only fight where he fought up to standards at 147 was Mitchell; a former 140 pounder who was past his prime and was KTFO by Tszyu prior. So why fight Mitchell over a legit threat at 147? Well, the answer I got was because Floyd has to get used to the weight. So, "OK" I said; reasonable, but overall; unacceptable. You want to get used to the division, try fighting a true 147 pounder to get used to the division.

What does Floyd do after Mitchell? He fights Judah; another former 140 pounder, who yes, did win the legit 147 pound title, but he lost to Baldomir the fight before, losing those titles. So the reason: "He promised Judah a fight and Judah brought him the money"; so, OK, I can agree on some level, but overall; bull****. It would have been better to fight someone else up to standards that was a serious threat; like a legit 147 pounder that was on a winning streak. Judah actually proved to be a threat for about half the fight until what was likely to happen: Judah started to break down mentally...yes, partially because Floyd was starting to hit the gas, but Judah's never been quite the same Mentally since Tszyu.

Who is next? Baldomir. Yes, the "Great" Baldomir
OK, I know why he fought him: Baldomir was the lineal title holder, but he was easier than some of the others in the division. I approved of Baldomir because even I know that if he had not fought him, people would have said Floyd wasn't the legit 147 pound Champion. He could have at least fought Baldomir and jumped in for another fight.


The only thing I can think of for the reason Floyd started to fight differentlely was because of: Age, weight increase (which can also hinder stamina), bad hands, possible bad back like I heard, and of course, his Mental status changed from his younger years like he said.



Back to the poster: Actually, I wouldn't favor Pac beating a younger, lighter Floyd Mayweather. Floyd is better than everyone on Pac's resume and Pac has lost. The only time Floyd had trouble in his younger/lighter years was when he went into the first Castillo fight with a torn rotator. That's why Floyd fought the second fight even though he won on the score-cards in the first.


I'm not sure why everyone is somewhat hyped for Floyd to come back. He hasn't put on a great performance in a while. Even the Hatton fight was only good towards the end.

I would rather watch Manny fight it out with other fighters willing to trade. Floyd's just to damn boring now.

I've always said we should always look at exactly where the opponent was in his career, so you are correct, but what about Floyd? What has Floyd done lately that has really impressed you compared to what he used to do?
I'll give you the KO of Hatton; I didn't expect that, but look at how he fought Hatton for near half the fight. I was in a room full of people that have watched Mayweather from the start of his career and they were yelling at the screen: "Fight, Fight, Why aren't you ****ing fighting." It was the same with his Judah fight.

Floyd fights to protect his "O" more than to win now...unless it is his physical status that is hindering his performance. Could be, or it could be all of the above.
