If they strip Vitali will Arreola fight Gomez for the WBC belt? That would be an entertainin fight ya kno buh I think Arreola might be fightin Wlad in May of next year as a voluntary defense. Don't kno who Gomez will fight might be Sasha Dimitrenko in Germany. Haye vs. Vitali in June, Wlad vs. Arreola in May, maybe Dimitrenko vs. Gomez for WBC, this is gettin interestin.

That is one guy that not many are talking about. Alexander Dimitrenko. His camp is doing the right thing and they are bringing him along slowly but at some point he needs to step up. He has 29 fights under his belt and is 26 years old.

gomez pitter pats too much. he had good power at cruiserweight but cant crack an egg at heavy. I could see him causing problems for the first few rounds with his boxing skill but I think the klits strength and power would eventually overwhelm gomez. he doesnt have the power

Gomez to Haye: "Go for the younger brother, Vitali is mine"

Seems Gomez isn't going to Roll over ...

I stole this from Another site.. No writer is credited.. It's a Gomez press release SO Gomez gets the Credit..

At the boring world heavyweight championship bout between Wladimir Klitschko and Hasim Rahman the only man who brought some excitement to the show was former undisputed world cruiserweight champion David Haye who showed up in Mannheim, Germany, to call out both Klitschko brothers. Now Haye claims that he came to an agreement with Vitali regarding a bout in June 2009. But before that the older Klitschko bro has to defend his WBC championship against no. 1 contender Juan Carlos Gomez..

Now the “Black Panther” addresses Haye: “I understand how this kid feels and what he thinks. In fact we have a lot in common. We both used to be the best cruiserweights in the world, now we both want to become world heavyweight champions and get rid of those annoying Ukrainians. But, David, I got one advice for you: Keep your hands off Vitali. He’s mine. You can go after Wladimir if you want. He will be easier to handle for you anyways. If you desperately want to fight Vitali you will have to wait until I stripped his belt from him. After we dethroned both Klitschko sisters we can go on and find out one on one who is the best heavyweight fighter in the world if you want. It will be my honour and pleasure to beat you up to become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.”

That would be great however Haye needs 6 months in between fight to get ready....

6 months is the minimum between Haye fights. I believe it took him 10 months to get ready for Barrett.

I'll never understand when fighters have to take so long in between fights, especially if their last fight was relatively easy and injury free. There's no reason why Haye or Vitali could be back in action in March (maybe fight on the same card to generate interest) and then meet up in June or July. I wish I could have a work schedule like that...

I agree. I think the reason he's so keen on the Haye fight is that it might well be his last. He's confident of winning, and the payday is by far the biggest of any fight open to him. I think the idea of a live audience of 50,000 or so might also have an appeal.... what sort of turnout would he get for Gomez whether the fight was in Germany or in the US?

You have to have some sympathy for Gomez but at the end of day both Vitali and Haye want the fight more than they do the belt.

s**t i wanna see haye vs gomez personally, it may be the most exciting hw fight of the last 5 years lol. but seriously i would like to see all of those matchups, i think they all would be very entertaining, it seems the smaller hws bring the most action to the division these days
