I think Cory is so overated because of what his uncle and father achieved. In comparison, he has done nothing. OK, he took Jermaine to a close decision, but that's about it.Comment

Honestly? His power sucks too...
People call him a puncher, but the only reason he ever hurts anyone is because he can hit them flush without them seeing it coming because he is fast, but... When is the last time Judah put someone down and they didn't get up? You remember the biggest uppercut ever landed when Judah nailed Cosme Rivera? Rivera was jumping forward, and Judah loaded up 100%, and Rivera didn't go down and wasn't really hurt that badly either.
He's easily the worst finisher in the sport too... When someone is hurt, he just wings huge punches that are so easily blocked or slipped it isn't even funny.
Oh my god... typing this actually makes me realize that Zab Judah is even worse than I thought.Comment

He beat Judah when Judah was still hot (although it still isn't great) and beat Mayorga right after he iced Forrest twice (another win that was overrated). He also beat Roman Karmazin, which is not a bad win at all.
Cory Spinks does not have a great resume, but... people also don't rate him very highly, so... I'm not sure if we can call him underrated.Comment

y'know waht...i'm just going to say it....
i think paul williams is a little overrated....
i mean he's got the skills.....even if he needs to work on that jab. but to me it seems like paul is taking this whole "feared man in boxing" a little too far....no one i think really called paul the best at WW...until margarito beat cotto....then people started saying "oh well marg should fight paul again" which marg doesn't....so people say that paul is feared because he wants a fight with marg and marg not wanting it....
but if paul was really feared and is the best at WW....why didn't he try and fight other WW.....he was so busy trying to get to fighting marg that i don't think he took the time to find other fighters who were willing to pay and fight him?
other than that....he doesn't duck no one....i'll give him that.
i like paul, i just think his die hard fans overrate him.Comment

Cotto was his mandatory but did not want the fight coming off a loss. HBO did not give enough money for him to fight Clottey, Phillips fight cost less for them most likely. Berto's camp is still bringing him along and want him to fight Collazo. Cintron fought N'dou. Quintana fought Onyango. Mosley fought Mayorga and wanted Margarito.Comment

Sloppiano and Calslappy are top of the ATG overrated bum fighters list. Someone said Tszyu but this is not true, as he overacheived considering he was an amateur defector. Plus with Judah, he ruined the boy. Judah was a genuine prospect at the time and I reckon he would have been better if the boy was not ruined by a deadloy right hand! Tszyu was the first robot defector and did very well for where he came from, as in USSR they ddi not even have a culture of defecting! They had no culture of pro boxing and in some ways still do not, which is why Klitchko and friends had to travel West. I can see where the people who say he is overrated are coming from, but Tszyu was decent robot, class act and big puncher which is why he was rated highly.Comment
