Hatton should be first. If i was Arum i'd make the PBF fight wait for as long as possible to further increase Floyds ring rust and also try to make the fight at 140. We saw what happened to Oscar when he tried to make a weight he had'nt been at for a long time. If Hatton wins it should be PBF - Hatton 2 and if Floyd - Pac is made first the winners will most likely face Hatton. Too much money in these fights for them not to happen.Comment

If Manny wins against Floyd, I think he retires for good.If he loses and somehow still lands a Hatton fight... and loses again... that would really suck big time with him going out of boxing on a whimper.
Anyway, I think the Hatton fight is a much more winnable fight. As far as Legacy goes, it's good for Manny because beating Ricky who is the 140 Ring Champ would make him a 6 division champ with 4 lineal titles. That would be incredible. It would also set up the Mayweather clash nicely.
Taking on Mayweather right now would be big, but taking him on after defeating Hatton would take that fight through the roof straight into the stratosphere. The anticipation and buzz would be higher than it is right now.Comment

Yeah, I said a similar thing: Make Floyd wait if you are Pac...but we don't know if Floyd is even coming back and if he does want to, I wouldn't use a strong voice when I say we will fight you at the end of '09 because that may deter Floyd from coming back. Two years is a long time to be out of the ring, especially for a fighter that passes 30 years old that would have to go against a lightning quick fighter like Pac. Imagine a Major League Baseball player that had to take two years off and then jump in there against prime Randy Johnson in mid-season form.
but making floyd wait works both ways... the more fights pac is in at 140 the more wear and tear he will accumulate... dude has been in plenty wars already. floyd just got ring rust.Comment

Floyd has more than just ring rust. This goes for all boxers and many other specific sport athletes: I don't trust them after they get into their 30's. It's why I agree with Freddie to call it career after a couple more fights for Pac. Although, given some posters calling Floyd a ***** for retiring at 30, I wonder if the same will happen with Pac.
Age, inactivity, bad hands, possible bad back...and the way he has been fighting since moving up to 147; it favors Pac in my opinion. You have to remember, Floyd does in fact have a lot of wear and tear. He had a long amateur career and consistently trained in the Mayweather ways. Wear and tear isn't just what is taken away inside the ring on pay-day, but also what you do in the gym; and Floyd's been training since he was a small child.
It obviously wore him down Mentally; that and his kids according to him.Comment
