Kendall Holt Beats Hopkins, Timothy Bradley is Next

By Jake Donovan - It sorely lacked any of the drama that came with either of his two fights with Ricardo Torres. But after a week that saw a change in opponents and major in-camp drama, Kendall “Rated R” Holt still managed to win and look good doing so. [details]

Holt really impressed in this fight his fights with Torres looks like it awoke a fighter. But at the same time he still lags in some rounds and allowes his opponet to win those rounds just like the 12 round clearly a round for Hopkins. Good showing and i never seen bradly fight lets see how that goes.

As for Hopkins i think this fight will make him a better fighter. He already thinks he won so thats good, if i was his trainer i'd drill that into him everyday at training and make him hungry for another shot and force him to be more aggressive. I think if Hopkins was more aggresive he proably could have pulled it out as it was i gave him 5 rounds.

No mention of Omar Chavez fight. I read he got a ko. I'd like to know if Omar takes training serious cause i think if he does he'll be the better of the two brothers.

He knows the fix was on, julie lederman was paid off to make a split decision win look good on dhops record. How couldn't he know the fix is in when he was hitting gloves way too much to win the damn fight?

Holt didn't look that much more impressive but he was atleast landing some of his shots.

I believe a Holt-Bradley clash would look about the same, a non-drama fight, though Bradley having a better chance (than D-hop) of snatching the decision.

Also, if Ricardo was my son, I would send him into retirement. That KO was de****able. He should save his brain for old age.

Talkin' bout kayoes, watch out for Marcos Maidana.

That was a hell of a ko, even though Holt has some help. But even in this fight what happens, a headbutt. If they ever match up again Torres is going to watch out for the headbutts coming from Holt especially now that he's more aggressive.

              what?

first off, no way i would've given the fight to hopkins......

that said, idk if you actually "watched" the fight, but hopkins landed alot more than you gave him credit for. i had the fight 5-5 w/ round 1 even going into the twelth, but hopkins wouldn't have done "enough" to give him the title even if he had won the 12th round......

holt was good at "bringing" the fight, but he landed few significant shots also, and ppl who dont pay attention might get the illusion that he was actually landing alot of the shots the hit meet's gloves, or completely missed everything. was a much closer fight than the comentators and even the judges had it. but i hate fights like this, where guys are rewarded bcuz of activity. hopkins just wasn't active enough, and in fights like this, where neither guy is really landing anything telling, the more agressive fighter should get the nod. all-in-all, i was impressed w/ neither guy, but i guess they did the best they could considering the fight was made in about a week......

D-Hop froze in his big moment. i expected a lot more from him even tho I picked Holt to win.

Bradley-Holt looks good, but I still wanna see the 3rd Torres fight.

I concur whole heartily. Holt impressed the **** out of me tonight. Here I thought he was a one dimensional counter puncher. He showed that he is a truly well rounded fighter, an intelligent fighter, and has much bigger back of tricks than I thought.
