Good match-up! I still think Calzaghe wins in the end. Chad has the power, however Calzaghe's work rate wins it for him in a UD.

With Dawson's speed, naturally bigger size and good punch, he wouldn't allow Joe to get off that many punches and allow himself to be back up. Dawson would not be the one backing up, hes the naturally stronger fighter and would be bringing the fight to Calzaghe. Tarver and Johnson could punch and they are as big as Dawson is, and that's the only reason why he boxed them and used the ring. Joe is not only smaller but he doesn't have any kind of power.

Chad's pretty good, but Calzaghe was apparently gonna get beaten (badly) on every other fight he had.

You know what? I'm not quite convinced. I know you'd love to see him get dropped and stay on the canvas, but it ain't happening.

Dawson needs to land a fight with Hopkins or Jones first to get Calzaghe's attention. He would easily UD Hopkins if not worse, and would get Jones out of there FOR SURE. That will get the truth out a little.

That's just bad, that's exactly what Calzaghe would want, and believe me, Calzaghe has power, people think he doesn't, but most of his punches are arm punches which don't hurt, and the fighter always underestimates his power and gets careless, and that's when Joe lands the strong punch which makes them think twice about doing the same thing again, making them go back to square one.
