Has Dawson's stock risen in light of Adamek's win against Cunningham?

Dawson completely and utterly out-boxed someone who is looking like a beast at CW.

I know Adamek doesn't look breathtaking when you watch him, but Cunningham couldn't execute the gameplan like Dawson did.

In fact, even Adamek's KD of Dawson doesn't seem so bad now.

Meh, since Adamek has had his two biggest wins at CW, it just might be that he was struggling to make weight at LHW.

Not really, Adamek was having trouble making weight, he wasn't weight drained but I think he had enough trouble making weight that it affected his performance.

Adamek says he was weight-drained and weak the night of the Dawson fight.

I think if they rematched at cruiserweight, Adamek might win. Still, Dawson has an awkward southpaw style that is difficult for an opponent to adjust to. And he would have a height and reach advantage over Adamek, as did Cunningham.

Trouble making weight or not he still would not have been quick enough on his feet or to the punch to win the fight.

Just stealing a point made by SlickSouthpaw, but if he was weight drained, how was he able to turn it on in the last couple of rounds? I know the KD gave him momentum but he sure as hell didn't look weight drained by the end to me.

I find the idea of losing cos they're weight drained feeble anyway. Sometimes, it's blatantly obvious, such as De La Hoya against Pac, (only rehydrating 2 pounds?) but most of the times, it's convenient cop-out.

Toney is one of my fave fighters, but he got his ass handed to him by RJJ fair and square. Same with Dawson and Adamek.

I mean, it's not like Adamek isn't someone who couldn't be out-boxed by Dawson. Dawson boxed beautifully, but without making the mistakes that Cunningham made.

Adamek was supposed to easily get rid of Dawson that night since Dawson was the immediate underdog. I don't buy the weight excuse in this instance.

I said he wasn't weight drained but that his troubles with making weight did compromise him in the fight.

Adamek has tremendous heart and determination, and even though he wasn't feeling well, he gave a great effort toward the end.

And how much credit does Dawson come out of that fight, then?

I'm just surprised that more people don't see Dawson's victory in a greater light considering what Adamek is doing at CW now.

                    It was an awesome performance.
