If so, why can't he stop mentioning Calzaghe?

Hopefully Froch will get a crack at Taylor. Calslappy has now gone into well deserved retirement, so he's out of reach.

      Froch would destroy Taylor.

The undefeated guy with an 11 years reign at SMW, undisputed #1 whom gave up the belt he just closely won, became the LHW #2, and is p4p #3 in the world.

He has to get in line behind Taylor, whom lost twice to Pavlik, and just beat Lacy whom Calzaghe ruined years ago???

Carl Froch is a profoundly deluded man.

I'd rather see him fight Taylor.

Doesn't matter, he would lose to either Taylor or Calzaghe.

I've heard Joe say a few 'deluded' stuff over the years(A lot actually), but his fans don't jump on his back about it.

Froch is 31, and looking for cheap publicity. If you can't see why he's doing it and why? It isn't just Carl Froch who is deluded.

And seen as this 'statement' came from a news reporter, instead of the horses mouth(Froch), a pinch of salt is needed gentlemen.

I take your point on this Chunk about younger guys not getting their shot. But no two scenarios are the same and in this context you have to admit Carl is way off track. Nothing changes the fact Froch's just won a vacant belt Calzaghe ditched having left the division to fight much bigger names, and Froch now thinks Calzaghe should be in line to face him, to merely get the belt back?

Come on, that's a little ridiculous you have to admit. The only reason Taylor's now in after ditching Froch once for Taylor (shameful) is because he wants the earn his first belt at SMW period, so he's starting from scratch. Calzaghe is the best SMW ever. Taylor had two losses to Pavlik, didn't beat a ruined Lacy anywhere near as bad, and similar goes for Pavlik he's coming off a pounding.

I wish Froch well, but how many guys win a vacant belt then get a shot at the p4p #3 whom isn't even in that division anymore, and is verging on retiring? It's crazy talk. Between Taylor and Kessler Froch will have a loss. It's a pointless fight. Plus I'll defend my country man often, but 70-30 split with Taylor, thinking that and Pavlik are bigger fights, further underlines the point that Carl is getting too big for his boots already.

Froch the typical inbred northern monkey has been talking **** about Calzaghe since 2002. He was an unknown bum back then and still is now. Froch will never fight Taylor, he'll pull out if the fight is in America.

                    Good post mate.

All Champions have egos. ALL OF THEM!

Carl has 5 years to do 15 years worth of work. He needs the fights to happen now. He has called everyone out at 160-168 and his mate Calzaghe, but he's getting no joy, so he goes to the press/media knowing that mentioning Joe and these other fighters so he can get his name out there and see if anything comes of it.

I don't think it looks clever with some of the stuff he says, but he needs to get peoples attention, because if he was just laid back and nice about everybody in the sport, he'd have no chance of making something happen.

If you got to throw the cat amongst the pigeons, so be it.
