Adamek Beats Cunningham, Claims IBF Title in a Classic

By Cliff Rold - It took over fifteen years for Evander Holyfield’s claim to the lineal World Cruiserweight championship to be filled again. 32-year old Tomasz Adamek (36-1, 24 KO) of Poland needed only a few months to fill the vacancy left earlier this year when David Haye moved up to heavyweight. On this night at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey no win missed him. [details]

Adamek is a beast, but I wish he tried to get a rematch against Chad Dawson.

There wasn't really a need for a rematch. Plus I think Adamek struggles too much to make 175.

adamek looked very sharp. nice straight, crisp, clean punching. cunningham looked to be in better shape though. adamek was visibly gassed at the end.

one of the best fights of the year, but marquez-vazquez III is still the foty.

He has a hot wife, only sad part is that he seems to be more into this kiss then she is... Check out her eyes... Is it just me or does she not seem to happy kissing him?

Well, she looks kind of hot from this angle... Didn't see a front shot of her

Great fight. Vazquez-Marquez III is still FOTY but this is a worthy candidate
