I think Taylor would win a near shut out in this fight.

Froch is made for Taylor. JT will have his piston jab and right hand landing on Froch at will and Carl has pretty much zero defence.

Some interesting bit's of size info for comparisons. If anyone knows more accurate ones then what's on boxrec fire ahead. Didn't realise Froch had such decent reach, or Taylor for that matter. But Pavlik uses his height and reach better.

      Pavlik
      Height: 6′ 2½″
      Reach: 191

      Froch
      Height: 6′ 0″
      Reach: 193

      Taylor
      Height: 6′ 1″
      Reach: 198

I just can't see how Froch is gonna have an answer for Taylor's jab. It will just bust him up all night.

He won't. But Froch is just gonna keep on coming and I can see Taylor at some point gassing and abandoning his discipline with the jab.

I actually thought JT fought pretty well against Lacy, until he the hugging around the half way point.

I'd rather Taylor won but I think it's gonna be much more difficult than people imagine it to be.

Froch has a decent jab of his own. Look at the Pascal fight. When Froch used his jab, he was very much in control. Throughout the fight I was thinking he should be using his jab way more often.

True. Pascal is no Jermain Taylor though.

I wasn't overly impressed with Froch's jab. Didn't roll to many at a time, not that accurate, and not really keeping his man away much, or that well.

When he was told to use it more, he didn't really, at least enough.

For me that's worrying. Kelly at least kept him away with his jab and reach a lot of the time, better then I think Carl would. Taylor has more experience at this level to be able to get in, land and get outta range again. He'll do it better than Pascal did, and he did well.

Taylor was knocked senseless by Kelly Pavlik, one of the most one-dimensional fighters I've ever seen, and he's only a middleweight.

                  Nuff said.

I don't see how Pavlik is more one-dimensional than Froch.

IMO Froch is just a poor man's version of Pavlik. Taylor will have too much class.

Whilst you can say Taylor was beaten by Pavlik it is also true that he beat Hopkins twice.

Fair point about Hopkins-Taylor, but how many people would disagree that Taylor even won those fights? He certainly didn't win them convincingly, but I had no real objection to handing Taylor the decision.

I reckon Froch might hit harder than Pavlik.
