As am I. I served 6 years active duty and still love the sport as a sport, regardless of who dominates/wins. This comment of mine obviously doesn't apply to us. The haters know who they are.

If Wlad were American, I'd be like "Why the fuck is this guy speaking with a Ukranian accent?"

Let me clarify my comment on the "great white hope/hype." The rarity of such a fighter in the heavyweight division provides such an anomaly into the equation, it deserves such attention here, the good ol' USA. Hasn't happened in a long, long time.

If Wlad was American it still would not help the current state of the division

I disagree. Yu my frend suffer from what I call the "Mike Tyson Hangover." You are so delusional to the boxing game that you lie to yourself in order to make yourself sound credible on this forum. Of course you would be all over Wlad if he was American with the track record he has. Just about everyone would. American boxing fans are, for the most part, arrogant. I was this way before I saw the light and appreciated the sport as a whole rather than a secluded object just here to the states. The only way I can help is to tell you to let go the bias, as I am not a doctor, just a diehard 'boxing fan.'

I don't think wlad cares for popularity otherwise he would have been huge in America by now. All he needs to do is show up on talk shows more often and quit fighting in germany and have all his fights in Las Vegas or New York. That's all he needs to do to get America to love him.
